Description:Rennio Maifredi was born and raised in Brescia, Italy.

He originally studied computer programming, but was introduced to photography in an art class.

Rennio developed a keen interest in the lighting techniques of the Italian Renaissance painters and soon abandoned computer programming to pursue a career in photography.

Rennio began as an assistant to a still life photographer before moving on to fashion photography. His career took off in 2000 when he began shooting for Italian Marie Claire.

Rennio's acute sense of lighting won him immediate acclaim and his subsequent work for Allure established his reputation as a highly regarded beauty photographer.

Rennio's work has been featured in Allure, Italian Marie Claire, Spanish Vogue, New York Times Magazine, L'uomo Vogue and Italian Vogue.

His advertising clients include La Perla, L'Altramoda, Parasuco and Rifle.

Rennio Maifredi is currently based in New York.
